Afrosiyób is a high-speed AC electric train, a modification of Talgo 250, designed and developed by the Spanish company Patentes Talgo SL, acquired by the Joint-Stock Company of Uzbekistan RAILWAYS , operated on the speed line Tashkent — Samarkand— Karshi and Tashkent — Samarkand — Bukhara, named after the king of the ancient city of Afrasiab, located on the northern outskirts of modern Samarkand.
