M. Strukov wrote that Shuldan consists of two cave temples and about 20 accompanying rooms. On one of the walls of the Church there is a fresco painting depicting the Mother of God with the Eternal child. The historian and archaeologist A. Berthier-delagard also explored the cave monastery, considering it similar to the&#8221; temple with a baptismal chamber &#8221; in Inkerman.<\/p>\n<p>The monastery operated until about the 15<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 16<sup>th<\/sup> centuries, when the influence of the Ottoman Empire was established on the Crimean lands and the small medieval Christian Principality of Feodoro ceased to exist.
